In printing, the extra printed image is referred to as a “Bleed Area” or margin, and it is removed from the finished piece. When designing your product, it’s best to make sure that your image is slightly larger than needed. We class 20-100gsm as light (summer fabrics, gauzes and fine silks), 101-249 gsm as medium (most clothing fabrics) and 250+ gsm as heavy (upholstery fabrics, and other specialist fabrics). GSM uses the weight of a square meter (1000 x 1000mm) as an indication of the weight and thickness of a given fabric. Grams per Square Meter (GSM) is an international standard for measuring the weight of paper or fabric.

To clean surface wipe only with a damp lint free cotton cloth. Should your product get wet, allow to dry naturally away from direct heat. Whilst a light rain shower is unlikely to harm, we recommend protecting from rain. Avoid contact with light coloured fabrics or upholstery as the colour may transfer. Avoid prolonged exposure to extreme heat, sunlight, water, and chemical cleaners to maintain a bright and long-lasting print. When not in use we recommend storing your product in a protective dust bag or box to keep your product looking its best. It is possible the base colour may show through the leather as it ages with wear. All leathers age naturally according to the usage, and this can cause the print to wrinkle or fade slightly over time. As leather is a natural material you may notice small differences in surface and texture, as well as wrinkles, which is common to products made from natural leather. To ensure the leather print on your product is as durable as possible, we’ve worked hard refining our printing process and craftsmanship.
